This movie is set in Roman Britain and details the plight of some Roman soldiers’ exodus out of tribal territories. If the HD movie trailer is any indication, this film might be the best “Roman” movie since Gladiator.

‘Centurion’ is set during the war between Roman soldiers and Pict tribesmen during the 2nd century Roman conquest of Britain. Michael Fassbender stars as Quintus Dias, Roman centurion and son of a legendary gladiator who leads a group of soldiers on a raid of a Pict camp to rescue a captured general (Dominic West). The son of the Pict leader is murdered during the raid, and the Romans find themselves hunted by a seemingly unstoppable group of the Pict’s most vicious and skilled warriors, led by a beautiful and deadly tracker (Olga Kurylenko), and hell bent on revenge.

1. Zipper Vector

   Ok, I just saw this movie yesterday and I have a mixed opinion about it. I’m a hard cor horror, violence, & war buff so my opinion may be a bit more bias than others. I liked some of the cgi used in the skill scenes to emphasis on the blood and splatters, as well as most the acting. The big war scene wasn’t graphic enough though & didn’t last long enough. it was also a bit far fetched even with the burning boulder ambush. I mean, the 9th legion had thousands of troops & the ambushers might of have a few hundred men. To me it just wasn’t played out in a way that would make the victory over the 9th feasible.

   All & All It was a decent flick and I would probably watch it a second time (That’s more than I can say for most movies). On a scale of 1 to 10 i would rate it a 7 1/2..

5. Drifter

   This was a pretty good movie in my opinion. Even for the seasoned gorehound, Marshall’s films hack off body parts you’ve never seen hacked off before — or ever thought you’d want to. The film has a resigned bitterness, hard to shake off, that feels right for the experience of tough guys, from whatever period of history, who find themselves at the tattered edge of what they take to be civilization.

7. Pole Dancing Poles

   I have to feel it’s all a bit “Braveheart”. The brave primitive tribe against their colonial masters. You’ll never take my FREEDOM!!!!!!!

   But actually quite a good film, even if politically dubious.
